Have You Heard??

Image
You guys, there's this incredible, new and easy way to have fabulous nails these days, have you heard?? If you're on Facebook , you may have seen ads for this beauty line called Color Street. Maybe you know about it already, and can attest when I say It's the perfect solution to busy women (and maybe men!) who love having fancy nails, but never have the time to get to the salon!  Colors: Tinseltown and Moon River Seriously, I'm not joking, this is my new fave beauty product! Check out these fancy looking nails, looks professional right? Well, despite the fact that I do have my cosmetology license, I am by no means a professional, especially when it comes to nails. I also have ZERO patience when it comes to painting them, so when I heard about this, I was instantly intrigued. I can hear you asking, 'how the heck do you get your nails to look like that, if you aren't painting them?' Each color, glitter or design comes in what they call 'strips...

Sometimes Mom's Struggle, and That's OK.

Image
I think most mom's could agree with me, that once baby comes (even before that for some!) your life takes a major turn. No matter how prepared you are for baby's arrival, there's no preparation for most of it. Having a newborn, especially for the first time, can be nerve racking. I remember that I was terrified to bring my son home. I slept with him on my chest for the first few nights, because he struggled keeping his body temp normal and that scared me to death! Then once I felt comfortable enough for him to sleep in the co-sleeper ( RIGHT next to me), I slept with my hand on his chest to make sure he was breathing all night long-that went on for a very long time. I would basically sleep with on eye open and laid facing him for months!  Other than those typical new mom worries, I found myself struggling most with me. Let me explain.... You have your own identity before you become pregnant. You are you. The moment you see those double lines on that pregnancy test, and ...

Two Ingredient Dough

Image
If you're like me, and you enjoy cooking, but also rely on easy recipes, then this my friend is right up your ally! Two ingredient dough. YUP you read that right, just TWO ingredients are needed for this and MAN OH MAN is it delicious! All it takes is, plain Greek yogurt and self rising dough-that's it! When you Google  search two ingredient dough, a lot of websites will tell you equal parts of both. With my experience, and experience of others who I know t have also tried this, you have to add more flour as you are kneading the dough. I'm guessing that the amount of flour you use, depends on the water content in the yogurt you choose. BUT I'm getting ahead of myself. Let me take it back to step one! For step one, you need to gather your yogurt and flour. Also grab a large bowl, and a one cup measuring cup. I use good ol' Gold Metal self rising flour, and for yogurt I chose Chobani. I plan to test out other yogurts too, and I will definitely share my experience wi...

Love-Hate Relationship

Image
Football and I have a love-hate relationship. I never really cared much for football when I was younger. I grew up in a family of hockey and baseball fans. We watched football, but not to the extent that my husband does.  When I first met my husband, I quickly discovered his love for sports. We watched A LOT of sports in the beginning. Golf, baseball, hockey, basketball, soccer, UFC and even tennis at times. But Football is, and always has been different. He lights up like a kid on Christmas when the season starts-It's really funny! The hate part of my relationship with football comes abiout mid season. All the 'good' players start to end up on the injured list, his beloved team The Patriots start to 'stink' as he so lovingly will comment, and his mood shifts. Happy Sundays have suddenly become not so happy. Stress starts to set in as the season is coming to a close. Will the Pats make it to the play offs? Will they make it to the AFC championship? Will the play...

First and foremost, I'd like to thank you for taking a moment to check out my blog. This is a new adventure for me, and I'm excited to get started! Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I am a stay at home mom, married to my love whom I met (almost!) 11 years ago. We were married in October of 2014. We have a little boy who blessed our lives in March of 2016. My husband and I are also proud parents to a sweet black lab who we rescued in May of 2014. He's quite spoiled and loved by all of us so very much!                          I’ve always found writing to be good therapy. I wrote a lot when I was younger, in journals, notes to friends, or even school essays (although not always A’s!) they were all great ways for me to express myself. Life gets crazy, you change, the world changes and you find yourself no longer doing things that you enjoy. But that’s ok! New things consume your world, and you find joy in other ac...
